Cemetery Board
Lake Charter Township owns and operates three cemeteries. Two are active and have sites available. Graceland Cemetery is located on Red Arrow Highway, two miles north of the Lake Street stop light and adjacent to the Water Plant. It is the larger of the two cemeteries, and is home to the Veterans' Memorial.
Greenwood Cemetery is located on Church Street, about one-half mile north of Lake Street.

*Definition of Residents, you qualify for the resident rate, if you pay homestead tax to Lake Charter Township. Non-homestead pay non-resident rates. Residents paying homestead in the City of Bridgman qualify for the "City of Bridgman" rates.
Columbarium niches are priced per niche. A niche holds one or two cremains. An opening and closing fee for EACH cremation will be charged.
**The plaque for the Columbarium Niche is $300, which includes the names of the deceased and the year they deceased. If someone insists on having the plaque ordered in time for a burial service, there is a there is a $20.00 overnight shipping charge.
The Columbarium Niche size is 11 1/4 x 11 1/4 x 11 1/4. Please guide purchasers of cremains containers to purchase a size that will fit in the niches. If you are purchasing over ten cemetery lots, your request will be addressed by the Lake Charter Township Board of Trustees.
